SMA MILESTONE: Listing of Evrysdi for children on the PBS

It is with great pleasure that we announce that the second treatment for SMA, an oral medication called Evrysdi (Risdiplam) was listed for those 18 and under on the Australian PBS from 1 August 2021.

Whilst this is not a good result for the Australian adult community, we are actively working alongside the sponsor, Roche, to assist them in gathering the information they require to make another submission for those ages 18 years and older. Please be rest assured that we are doing everything possible to advocate the huge unmet need for adults living with SMA. When we need more information from the community we will reach out to gain your valuable input.
